* * *
I am dazed by the beauty of my body.
today I looked at myself with your eyes. discovered
the soft curve of shoulders the tired round breasts which
want to sleep and slowly roll down in spite of themselves.
my legs unfolding offering infinitely up to
the limits absent from what is me and what beyond me
throbs in every leaf in every raindrop.
I saw myself as if through glass in your eyes
looking at me. I felt your hands on the warm tight
skin of my thighs and obeying your command
I stood naked before a huge mirror and then
I covered your eyes not to see and not to feel
the loneliness of my body blossoming with you.

you ask what intrigues me in the magic of numbers in a number
I want to express the infinity of my longing of my love
I want it to congeal in a crystal of numbers so days will skid over it
like the sun over a diamond
I want it to last untainted by passing to be no more either longing or love

I like longing
climbing up the railings of sound and color
catching into my open mouth
the frozen scent
I like my loneliness
suspended higher
than a bridge
embracing the sky with its arms
and my love walking barefoot over the snow

a splinter of my imagination
sometimes flares up from a word
and sometimes from the smell of salt
and I feel under me
the ship shift from foot to foot
and the ocean is immeasurable
without any shore
secure in a shell of wood
I am wonderfully free
I love no one
and nothing
