PREFACE
THIS translation of Anhelli is by Mrs. Radin, with slight revision by myself; the editorial work in the volume is my own. The material for the Introduction and Notes is mainly derived from the editions of Anhelli, by Wiktor Hahn (Brody: Arcydzie豉 polskich i obcych pisarzy, tom 29), J霩ef Ujejski (Cracow: Bibjoteka narodowa, Nr. 7), and Andrzej Boleski (Warsaw: Wielka bibljoteka, Nr. 7), and from the monograph by Juljusz Kleiner, Juljusz S這wacki, dzieje tw鏎czo軼i (Warsaw,1919-2o) . References are not given for every statement taken from these sources. I have also used an article by Eugen虻usz Kucharski, "Jab這n gwiazd w Anhellim", in Przegl康 warszawski, vol. i, pp. 39-5 (1921) .
